The latest version of Rinicom’s SkyPatriot drone detection system is being used by RNC Avionics Ltd and 42 Solutions B.V. to develop a new integrated UAV protection systems designed specifically for airports. The new platform, codenamed CUPS, will utilise the upgraded long-distance optical UAV detection with additional RF detection capability and the bespoke situational awareness ATM software module developed by 42 Solutions in Eindhoven, The Netherlands.
The CUPS project has been featured in the August 2018 issue of Jane’s Airport Review, where Rinicom CEO Prof Garik Markarian gave an interview about the exciting opportunities for the project, which has received funding from the EUREKA Eurostars Programme (#600368).
