The award is presented to Dr. Peter-Paul Meiler and the IST-118 Research Task Group for their outstanding contribution to the S&T Organization Cooperative Program of Work (CPoW). Rinicom’s COFDM IP mesh technology is an essential part of the
NATO Research Task Group IST-118 on ‘Service Oriented Architecture Recommendations for Disadvantaged Grids in the Tactical Domain’. In a three-year endeavour, this Task Group identified the best ways to make the Service Oriented Architecture approach applicable within the constraints of the tactical environment. The team developed a Tactical SOA Profile that helps to optimize the future systems architectures and to improve the cooperation within NATO countries.
